Construction work at Greyfriars

In January 2012, work began on the development of the porch entrance area to the Kirk. Our aim is to create an open, welcoming, clutter free space that will encourage more visitors to the Kirk. The programme of works is expected to last for 10 weeks. Most of the disruptive works will take place in early January and completion is expected by 23rd March 2012, assuming no delays due to weather or late delivery of materials.

Please rest assured that the planned works will not affect activities within the Kirk, except some temporary access through the porch area.

When the porch area is closed, access for worship, meetings, etc will be via the funeral/coffin door). A sign board is located at this temporarary entrance. Please press the bell at the left of the door for entry.
